Yeah, I get the same feeling looking at her sometimes, it's the damn wig. I look at a few anime characters and feel better, but I'm still thinking of trying to root the hair to her head so it's not as poofy as the wig. I just don't think I'd be able to get the same style. I dunno, maybe she just backcombs like a fiend.
I looked at some of the other photos of her in your gallery and I didn't realize what her head shape was like. It does looks appropriate for the size of her head. I would love to see a color version of the same photo. Maybe that's what is throwing me off. Anyhow, I am a fellow fans of dolls (BJD and the like), so it's cool to see this!
Here's the colour version. But I do get what you mean. The scale of the dolls just makes everything so bulky on them, which is a bit hard to deal with sometimes. Her hair is also super poofy lol. I think it's mostly to do with the angles And lol, dolls are so awesome. I have such a varied collection these days, i used to only collect male ball jointed dolls, now I have Blythe, Momoko, Obitsu, Fashion Royalty, FR Nippon, Barbies... it's insane x.x
I'm still iffy on it, even in the color version. Her hair /is/ "poofy". Haha. Aw, well. I don't think it matters much! The only doll I have purchased so far is Kid Delf Bory from LUTS but, I have plans for at least three more. C:
Ahh okay. I think it's how her bangs are grrr. When I style them now and brush them so they aren't to the side like that it doesn't look so bad. But yeah, now I look at this shot and it's all I see lol x.x
Thankyou! <3 I got her from the ebay store Mimiwoo, but you can get them from Parabox and The Junkyspot (both online, just google them ^^) She's a Type 02 Obitsu head on a 21cm Obitsu body, and I painted her myself using decals from here as a stencil (I print them off in black and white - I use decal paper I bought from ebay - and paint over the top. I'm not very good at anime eyes lol, it helps a lot. I only use the eyes though, I find it too difficult to use the eyebrows and mouths >.<
